Welcome to ultrasound at Phoenix Technology Consulting!

We specialize in ultrasound. Phoenix Technology Consulting, LLC a privately-owned company based in Roswell, Georgia, has provided physics consulting services to clients in the southeastern United States for over 25 years.

Founded in 1973 by Robert Zimmerman, Phoenix Technology Consulting’s success has been built by strong leadership and a dedicated team of professionals. Our president, Phil Chambless, our physicists, physics consultants, and administrative staff take pride in our ability to provide our clients with an exceptional level of service.

We offer a broad range of services in the following areas of diagnostic imaging, non-medical x-ray, and radioactive materials-related programs for medical and non-medical facilities.

We are also dedicated to providing our clients with resources for continuing education and career development. Our physicists have developed written didactic courses and video tapes which provide technologists, physicians, and nurses with valuable radiation safety information, as well as credits for certification.

Phoenix Technology Corporation performs radiological safety and radiation output calibration data on conventional diagnostic x-ray equipment on an annual interval, as recommended by JCAHO. All surveys are conducted in accordance with State, Federal and JCAHO requirements. The objective for the survey is to provide data interpretations which will be meaningful to the user.

Some of the areas assessed are: Image Quality. Patient and Personnel radiation dosimetry. Scatter radiation measurements for fluoroscopy. Estimated skin entrance exposure for conventional x-ray.

Reports provided to the client include a summary of any defects noted as well as recommended corrective action when appropriate. Patient estimated skin entrance exposure charts are provided for patient dose interpretation. These charts monitor the doses obtained from typical radiographic procedures and compare them to national standards. Scattered radiation measurements obtained from fluoroscopic units during our surveys are provided for posting in accordance with applicable State regulations.

On an annual basis, the physicists of Phoenix Technology Corporation evaluate in excess of 300 mammography units. Our experience places us in the forefront of physics testing for this modality and has allowed us to amass an extensive database of compliance records for multiple vendors.
